Why choose us

Built for the campus. Equipped for the case.

We are not LUTH and we do not pretend to be. We are the critical first line: the place you come when something is wrong and you need to know how wrong it is, and what happens next.

"The lights at the Medical Centre are always on. We do not advertise this fact loudly. It is simply how we have operated for as long as this University has understood that a community that learns cannot do so if it is unwell."

Common questions

The things people ask us most.

If your question is not covered here, see the full FAQ or call our front desk, a nurse will guide you in two minutes.

How long will I wait ?

Average outpatient wait is under an hour for standard consultations. Emergencies are triaged immediately on arrival, no queue.

Your UNILAG ID (staff or student), NHIS card if enrolled, and a list of any current medications. That is enough to start.

Consultations are free for registered students and staff. Tests, medications and procedures may carry costs depending on NHIS coverage.

Your primary doctor here will issue a referral if you need specialist care beyond our scope. We coordinate directly with LUTH, LASUTH and other partners.
